Ordinary meeting of the University Administration was held under the chairmanship of Rector Olha Porkuian at the location in Kyiv with the connection of some colleagues online.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Oleksii Tselishchev reported on the recruitment of foreign applicants for higher education at the university.
This year, training for foreigners is carried out in person and/or remotely. Both for full-time and remote admission, it was necessary to receive an invitation to study according to the procedure. The invitation is valid for 1 year.
In the 2021/2022 academic year, despite all the difficulties that the university had to face, the contingent of foreign students at the end of the academic year did not undergo significant changes. At the educational department of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, 67 foreign citizens from the following countries were trained: Bangladesh, Serbia, Libya, Egypt, Israel, Nepal, Nigeria.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons were trained in the following areas: economic and engineering-technical. The main attention was paid to the language training of foreign citizens, their adaptation in the new language environment.
Now 97 foreign citizens from the following countries are studying at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University: Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Iraq, Nigeria, Israel, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Kyrgyz Republic. Of this number of students, 79 foreign citizens are enrolled in Bachelor’s programs, 14 in Master’s programs, and 4 in PhD programs.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the issues of registration of personal files of students, arrangement of the university location in Kyiv, etc.
