ALL-UKRAINIAN ESSAY COMPETITION "EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE OF UKRAINE"

Initiated by: Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, Faculty of Law

Date: April 15, 2023 – May 15, 2023.

Participants: students of general education institutions, vocational education institutions and institutions of professional higher education.

The purpose of the Competition is to provide participants with the opportunity to express their thoughts and ideas on how they see their future path and how education can influence and help them achieve these goals, to inspire participants to think about how they can contribute to the development of Ukraine using their knowledge and skills.

Requirements for the works.

Essays should meet the following criteria:

1. The topic and content of the essay must correspond to the topic and purpose of the competition and the terms of its announcement.

2. The essay should be written competently and clearly, taking into account the spelling rules.

3. The essay must have a structure and logical sequence. The author should use evidence and arguments that support his or her own theses and opinions. For this purpose, you can use both academic sources and your own experience and observations.

4. The essay can take into account various cultural, informational, legal, historical and political aspects related to the topic of the competition. It is important that the author uses these aspects appropriately and justifies their connection to the topic.

5. It is important to keep in mind that the essay is a creative work. The author should show his or her individual view of the problem and use his or her personal experience, interests, and knowledge.

6. Technical design: Volume – 3 pages; Page format – A4 (297×210 mm), orientation – portrait; Margins: all 20 mm; Font – Times New Roman, size 14, line spacing – 1.5, style – Normal; First line – title of the report (bold all caps, centered); Second line – author’s name and initials (bold italics, centered); then the text of the essay.

7. The work should not contain plagiarism.

8. Language: Ukrainian.

9. Evaluation will be based on the following criteria: originality of ideas, writing style, logical consistency and argumentation, use of sources.

Program:

Stage 1. Participants prepare papers on the relevant topics, draw up in accordance with the requirements of the organizing committee by 10.05.2023.

Stage 2. The Organizing Committee accepts the works from the participants and checks them for compliance with the requirements by May 10, 2023.

Stage 3. Online voting takes place on the website: http://pravo-snu.com.ua/ for the best work. The jury evaluates the works and determines the winners from 11.05.2023 to 15.05.2023.

Stage 4. Publication of the participants’ works in the collection of materials of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth and Science: Current Status, Problems and Prospects for the Development of Law in Ukraine”. Presentation and solemn awarding of the winners on 05/19/2023.
